Our family loves popcorn! I personally love trying new flavors with mine but the rest of the family prefers the traditional butter flavor. So I usually end up popping enough for everyone and then doing my own thing in a separate bowl. I like to add parmesan, chipotle seasoning and salt to mine, a Southwestern Parmesan flavor. What’s your favorite popcorn seasonings?
I must add that after showing my husband my creation he gave me this, “you’re amazing” look when I told him I popped it in a bag in the microwave!
Well, microwave popcorn just got easier! All you need are some corn kernels, paper bag, salt, butter and of course a microwave. You might burn the first bag to figure out how many minutes your microwave takes to pop it. I’m sharing that from experience.
DIY Microwave Popcorn
- 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Brown Paper bag
1. Place all of the above ingredients in a paper bag.
2. Fold the bag a couple of times and staple.
3. Shake the bag so all of the kernels get coated.
4. Microwave between 2- 2.5 minutes. Every microwave is different so start with 2 and if it still needs more time add another 30 seconds. My microwave only took 1 minute and 35 seconds to pop my bag.
