Patriotic Edition: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? & Patriotic Chalkboard Art

flag

With July 4th approaching, I thought I would do a fun quiz to see how much you know about the good ole US of A.  Do you remember that tv show, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th grader?”

Well let’s test your U.S. History knowledge with these simple questions.   When I became an American Citizen the following were some of the questions I was told I needed to know. It’s amazing how things from long ago come back to mind. Growing up in the American education system, I vaguely remembered a lot of these questions from grade school so it wasn’t hard to remember them for my citizenship interview.

When I showed up for my interview, the officer asked  me a few simple questions and I can proudly say I am now an American Citizen!

Okay, now let’s test your U.S. History knowledge:

Guess who said, ” Where liberty dwells there is my country.”

How many branches are there in our government?

Who said, “Give me liberty, or give me death?”

Who wrote the Star Spangled Banner?

Which President freed slaves in America?

How many states are in the United States today?

For how many terms can a president run?
