Let’s just get this out in the open. I don’t mind walking out of the house without a drop of make up on my face. In fact, I do it all of the time. I like to let my skin breathe. Besides, my mom said I “look beautiful without all of that junk on my face.” Thanks mama! But, I will also admit there are some days when I just want a quick look without all of the hassle.
This is where that “spring glow” comes in! Yes, we’re in the middle of spring and there’s a glow about it. Something about the rain, blooming flowers, and perfect days that gets me going. I’m in love with the season if you must know! Back to make up…
I put together a little slide show to show you how I get that “spring glow” in five easy and quick steps. Nothing too drawn out or complicated. This is great for those days when you’re in a hurry or don’t want to mess with a full face of make up. I do know we all have different skin types and tones. These are products that work for me. Find what works for you and your skin!

#1 Wash Your Face with a Gentle Daily Scrub 1 of 5
First things first! Wash your face with a gentle daily scrub. I use Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. It gently exfoliates your skin, by getting rid of dead skin cells. A scrub will give your face a natural glow. Remember, we all have different skin types. If this is too harsh for you, then try a scrub once a week, instead of daily.
#2 Apply CC Cream to Your Face 2 of 5
Next, I apply a CC Cream instead of foundation. CC Cream, also known as color control/color corrective cream, was designed with light to moderate coverage in mind. I like Clinique's Moisture Surge CC Cream. It helps brighten my skin and diminish any redness.
#3 Use an Eye Brightening Mascara 3 of 5
When I want that simple spring glow, I don't worry about eye shadows or eye liners. Instead, I reach for an eye brightening mascara. Smashbox' Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara has a patented Blue Prism Technology contains a blend of micas, titanium, and blue pigments that make the white of your eyes pop!
#4 Apply a Brightening Finishing Powder 4 of 5
I was recently introduced to a finishing powder and I can't get enough of it. This is perfect, as we're coming to the end of this quick routine. Bobbi Brown's Brightening Finishing Powder is an all-over powder that illuminates and will give your skin a fresh and healthy glow.
#5 Finish with a Sheer Lipstick or Gloss 5 of 5
Finally, finish your "spring glow" look with a light and sheer lipstick or gloss. I try to stay away from anything to heavy, dark, or sticky. I love L'Oreal Paris' Colour Caresse by Colour Riche lipstick. They come in a range of bright colors that are lightweight and sheer.
