Tips for Planning a "Little Man" Themed PartyCarmen Ordonez
Last year I helped my mom plan my “Little Man” themed baby shower. We had such a great time planning it. Whether it’s for a baby shower or a birthday party, this theme is always a hit with guests. And not to mention, so easy to do. Here are some ideas from my own baby shower on how you can plan your own “Little Man” themed party.
Little Man Themed Invitations 1 of 11
Start by picking a "Little Man" themed invitation. Typically anything with a mustache or bow ties works very well. We found these adorable invitations on Etsy and purchased the digital file. We then printed them out ourselves on cardstock paper, which was a lot cheaper.
Use Mason Jars 2 of 11
Mason Jars are a "manly" way to serve your drinks and don't they look so cute? We made our own bow ties with ribbons and added stripe straws to finish off the look.
Blue Lemonade 3 of 11
For the drinks we served blue lemonade to go with the blue theme. We also had a place card next to the lemonade that read "Wet Your Whiskers" that everyone loved.
Put Mustaches on Everything! 4 of 11
We bought these sticker mustaches from Party City and ended up putting them on everything. It's a great way to tie-in the "Little Man" theme.
Cupcake Toppers 5 of 11
Instead of a cake, we decided to serve cupcakes. Consider making or purchasing your own cupcake toppers with bow ties or mustaches. They're so easy to make! Here's a recent DIY post where I show you how to make them.
Bow Tie Napkins 6 of 11
For the table setting, make your napkins into bow ties with a simple ribbon.
Pin the Mustache on the Baby 7 of 11
Instead of "pin the safety pin on the baby," we did "pin the mustache on the baby." Everyone got a good laugh when the mustache ended up in some interesting places.
Use an Old Briefcase 8 of 11
An old briefcase is perfect for holding party favors or other knick knacks.
Little Man Banner 9 of 11
This "Little Man" banner was one of my favorite decorations from my baby shower. I made it myself using burlap (cut into triangles) and used stencils and fabric paint to paint the word "Little Man." I then used a piece of twine and miniature clothes pins to secure the triangles.
Bow Tie Pasta 10 of 11
For the main dish we served "Bow Tie" pasta. It's a cute and clever way to tie in the "Little Man" theme in your food.
Say Cheese! 11 of 11
Create your own photo booth and use props such as mustaches, bow ties or top hats for guests to take pictures with. Our guests had so much fun with this. For the backdrop, I simply used a plastic blue table cloth and taped it to the wall.
