10 Reasons I Can't Write A Blog Post Right Now

The blogging life has its ups and downs. Since I continue to do it, the ups apparently outweigh the downs for me. But there are those days when writing a blog post feels like lifting a stack of bricks. It doesn’t help, of course, that my attention is easily hijacked into anything and everything that could possibly make it on my to-do list. Like today…

    1. Must go outside
Have you looked outside? How can I possibly stay in here and write this blog post when it's vacation weather out there?! Isn't that one of the benefits of my bloggy life? I'm not a slave to the man. I don't have to sit in an office for eight hours a day! I'm claiming my freedom! I'm a blogger!

    3. Must drive traffic
Pinterest! Haven't you heard? It's a must if you want to drive traffic to your blog. With Facebook integration, people are flocking to the latest hawt social platform and it's part of my job to stay on top of such things. I must keep my eye on the traffic ball, no? I'm a blogger, after all.
  • 4. Must be social in social media 4 of 10

Engagement. I must make the rounds on Twitter and Facebook, respond to my @ replies, leave a few comments and hearts on Instagram. No one likes a broadcaster. I'm not "that guy." I'm a blogger!

    5. Must get ready for Blissdom
Blissdom is in a few weeks. It's one of the best blog conferences and you know, I am a blogger… who has nothing to wear. Time to do some Etsy speed shopping! At least I'm efficient. It's not like I'm wasting time going to the mall!

    6. Must feed the fam
It's so much more efficient to get the grocery shopping done before school let's out. You avoid the after school and work crowd. Isn't that one of the pluses of being a blogger?

    8. Must tend to the home
The laundry is calling my name. I know, I could do it later but then the sheets won't be dry and it's such a plus that I'm a blogger and can be home to transfer to dryer… er, I mean hang them on the line. LOL.
