When I became a parent a decade ago, I knew that I wanted to be at home with my child. I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom. The company that I was working for asked me to stay on as a contractor and promised me flexibility. I was reluctant – but babies cost money. I quickly discovered that I needed to work for my well-being. I loved my daughter, but the creativity outlet I found thru my work.
As I have added 3 more kids to the mix, working at home has become apart of who I am in this phase of life. While there is no answer to balancing it all – here are a few things that have helped me along the way
