13 Ways to Go Green As a Couple

So you want to change the world huh? Rather ambitious aren’t you? Saying such a thing seems like a tall order for one person but I am here today to tell you it’s possible and there are simple ways to do it. You have the ability not only to change the world but to make it better because you lived. One of my favorite quotes (ever!) is this one:

“When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.

I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.

When I found I couldn’t change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn’t change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world. ” ~ Author Unknown

And that my friend is how you can change the world. You can do it on a small scale starting with you! If you are in a relationship you’ve got someone to join you in your quest to make our planet better, making the fruits of your labor even sweeter. In celebration of Earth Day I’ve rounded up 13 simple things you and your other half (or just you) can do to go green.

The action you take to live a greener lifestyle on this day might trickle over resulting in a lifestyle change, an example set for your children, and perhaps the realization that you are indeed changing the world.
