17,500 Boston Bruins Fans Sing the National Anthem

Boston Strong: This is what it sounds like when 17,500 Boston Bruins fans sing our National Anthem (video, via Babble)Last night’s NHL match-up between the Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres was the first sporting event in Boston since the Marathon bombings on Monday.

The pregame show included a video montage honoring the first responders, and the flag was brought in by the Boston Fire Department Color Guard.

As singer Rene Rancourt began “The Star-Spangled Banner,” all 17,565 fans, seemingly as one, joined him. Mr. Rancourt lowered his microphone, and led the entire TD Garden in song.

I simply have no words.
