4-Year-Old Brings a Very Illegal “Snack” to School

Snack Time?

There is something to be said for an act of total innocence. In Meriden, Conn., a 4-year-old special needs preschooler did something that gave him no pause but shocked the teachers at Hanover Elementary School.  This particular boy brought a very illegal “snack” to school. He brought bags of marijuana.

At snack time the boy took out of his jacket pocket the carefully wrapped baggies and attempted to share his contraband with his classmates, completely oblivious that the bags contained a substance that no child should be carrying around.  Fortunately a teacher realized what it was before the other students got their hands on the baggies.

The principal of the school made it clear that the child is not at fault, but the police and the Department of Children and Families are of course investigating.”Our concern is for the 4-year-old student who had no knowledge of what he was bringing to school,” Benigni told reporters. “The student is safe, and we will continue to ensure a safe learning environment to all of our students.”

Note to the parents next time hide your stash a wee bit better.
