Do you dream of going on a glamorous and glorious vacation? Do you yearn for having all your needs attended to, having your whole family entertained and going on a trip where you can get a little bit of a vacation from those beloved children of yours but making sure they’re having fun too?  If so, a family cruise may just be the answer. It brings together the family while also giving you the option to get a little space, perhaps to have dinner with your spouse and engage in a conversation that isn’t interrupted every five minutes.While cruising isn’t for everyone, it is the answer for some. And if you in the latter,  here are five of the best family cruises for you, your mate and those kids of yours.

    Carnival keeps the kids busy with their Camp Carnival (for ages 2 to 11), Circle "C" (for ages 12-14) and Clun O2 (for ages 15-17). They have dance parties, talent shows, reading and story time, arts & crafts, games and their own pool.

    Disney Cruise Line
    The biggest (and some argue best) at the family cruises is the Disney Cruise Line with their Wonder, Magic and Dream. With cruises going to the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska and Mexico, they are hitting all sorts of ports from tropical to historic to down right chilly.     The Queen Victoria — a Cunard Cruise ship, is a pretty fancy way to hit the high seas. Although it is more geared towards adults, they do accommodate and entertain those wee little travelers as well. There is a kid's club and nursery where the children can do arts, crafts and play games as well as other interesting activities such as fencing lessons and a pirate day.

    While Disney has Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, Norwegian Cruise Line has Spongebob, Dora and Diego. There are highlights like Slime Time game show, Dora's Music Party, character breakfasts among other Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. activities. These kid centric cruise is on two of their ships the Jewel and the Epic year-round.

    The Princess Cruise line has a special program for their "junior cruises" with onboard activities in their youth centers. There are special menus for the kids, kidsitting when mom and dad want to hit the ports and ‘edutainment' for some learning fun. But be warned, they only supervise kids ages 3 and up.
