5 Hilarious Ryan Gosling 'Hey Girl' Pics for Special Needs Moms (That Everyone Will Love)

The “Ryan Gosling: Hey Girl” meme is alllll over the Interwebz these days, and frankly, we’re okay with that. From eye candy for pregnant women, to Ryan Gosling Loves Him Some Mom Bloggers, everyone’s got a use for Ryan Gosling.

Sunday Stillwell, the talented blogger behind Adventures in Extreme Parenthood, produced a series of images this week especially for moms of special needs kids, but we’re pretty sure they’ll, um, appeal to everyone.

Ms. Stillwell, who has two sons significantly affected by autism, is a fierce advocate for families with special needs. If her name sounds familiar to the “mainstream” community, it’s because she recently orchestrated the online petition asking the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to reconsider its decision not to allow a cognitively impaired New Jersey girl, Amelia Rivera, to receive a kidney transplant.

Although Ms. Stillwell had never met the Rivera family, she empathized with their plight, and was moved to action.

In these images, Ms. Stillwell brings her considerable sense of humor to the daily challenges of parenting special needs children. And for the record: using hotness to spread awareness of special needs = WINNING. Enjoy!

Nothing like a guy who's supportive of letting kids be who they are.

  • Yeah. Come with me to that school meeting 2 of 5
Yeah. Come with me to that school meeting
Can you imagine bringing Ryan Gosling to your next meeting with your child's educational team? They'd be all, sure, 40 hours of Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy. No problem.

Seriously, nothing makes me laugh like a good pica joke. Because otherwise, I'll cry. (Pica is the medical name for chewing or eating non-food items.)

  • Defending my kids = hot 4 of 5
    Defending my kids = hot
This one slays me not just for the hotness but for the timely reference. A teacher in Florida was suspended this week for pouring hot sauce onto crayons as a punishment to autistic children who had put the crayons in their mouths. And yeah, this use of so-called "aversive therapy" makes me want to do whatever it was that made Ryan's shirt look like this.

  • Now let’s go cook up some rice pasta 5 of 5
Now let's go cook up some rice pasta
Oh, yeah. A gluten-free, casein-free diet can be this sexy. And the strength it takes to advocate for your kids? Even sexier.
