Obesity starts at birth (or before!), so it’s important for your baby to acquire healthy lifestyle habits right away. Here are a few tips for helping your baby stay in shape.
Health News reprinted the Nemours Foundation’s tips for getting baby moving:
Spread out a blanket and let your baby go for it.
Schedule in plenty of tummy time.
Limit (non-driving) time spent in the carseat, crib or stroller.
Help your almost-crawling baby to get on hands and knees.
Put a toy just out of babies reach.
Promote walking by letting the baby hold onto your hands or furniture.
The foundation also runs KidsHealth if you’re looking for more information on raising fit kids.
