They were just driving down the road when mom Delores Dober accidentally drifted into the oncoming lane. She swerved to avoid a truck, and her car skidded off the road. When it finally came to a stop at the bottom of a snowy embankment, the car was upside down and Delores was hanging from her seatbelt, going in and out of consciousness.
Who should come to the rescue? Her 6-year-old son Aaron Wright, who was sitting in the back seat. Aaron got hold of his mother’s cell phone, scrambled out of the car, and called 911, according to a sheriff in Albany, NY.
The Albany Times-Union reports that Aaron, ” .. squeezed out of the back seat and trudged up the steep, slick incline that, to a young child, must have seemed as though it were a high peak of the Adirondacks. Once he reached the summit, he flagged down passers-by who pulled up to the scene.”
Talk about a hero! Both mom and son were treated and released from a local hospital. Way to go Aaron!
