Here’s a fun goal for you to think about if you don’t do this already with your family— at the beginning of every month, I take a photo of all of my kids together, as seen in the gallery below.
I originally started photographing my four kids on the first of every month for my personal blog a couple years ago. It was a great way to record them month-by-month and it was easy to remember… until last January when I forgot to post their photo on the first. So, I changed it to the fourth, which seemed fitting since I have four kids. I don’t usually have a theme or an idea in mind — my main focus is to just get at least one good photo of all four kids together. It’s fun to look through and see all the hairstyle changes and, really, how much they change in looks in just one month.
Some of my readers have joined in and they adjust the date to how many kids they have, too, or a set date that’s easiest for them. My hopes for 2012 is that I can take a video of the kids each month, and I’ll continue to post our monthly four photographs as well! Click through the photos from 2011′s fourth of the month posts below.
