Col. Chris Hadfield in the International Space Station

Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield has been living in the International Space Station for the past five months commanding Expedition 35, which ends today. Hadfield comes home not just with a successful mission behind him, but thousands of fans and followers who have been sharing his journey around the globe via his incredible Facebook page full of stunning photos and delightful videos. The most notable video in his collection is likely the one he released last, a recording of David Bowie’s space oddity, filmed in space! The video was produced by Hadfield’s 27-year-old son, Evan, who is his unpaid social media manager. Hadfield says in this video that the guitar he’s playing was sent to space by officials in Houston who realized that access to music is essential for the psychological health and well-being of isolated astronauts far from their loved ones on Earth. The special small body guitar has been around the planet over 50,000 times. Enjoy:
