Ask Danielle: When Is It OK to Work for Free? [VIDEO]

By swaygroup |

Janice wrote an amazing post on this topic earlier this week, but I thought it might be helpful to add some further perspective. I spoke about this at length at the evo conference a few weeks ago. It is clearly a hot topic.

In this video (after the jump), I address the need to define your end goal before making any determination on appropriate pay (or non-pay) for work.

I would love to hear other perspectives as well, so please do share in the comments. And also, please let me know what else I can answer for you in future installments.

    Fabulous insights Danielle!

I love your advice of deciding where you want to be in two years and keeping those goals in mind as you make your decisions. That is key in all aspects of our lives, isn’t it!

And I also appreciate that you added in the point about how bloggers working for free can affect other bloggers. While a blogger needs to make the best decision for them, ultimately, what is best for all bloggers will eventually be what is good for her too!
