Talk about a developmental milestone! We here at Strollerderby are proud to announce that Babble has been chosen one of the 50 Best Websites by TIME Magazine. TIME editors scoured the web and chose five top-quality sites in each of the following categories: Music & Video, Sports, News & Info, Financial & Productivity, Shopping & Travel, Health & Fitness, Social Media, Games, Education and Family & Kids.
Congrats to the other Family & Kids picks: Design Mom Gabrielle Blair, who also writes for Babble’s Family Style blog, the food writers at Serious Eats, the DIYers at online superstore Etsy and the gang of fabulous monsters and wonderful humans over at Sesame Street.
TIME had some kind words for Babble, saying:
This online magazine shows just how cool parenting can be, from pregnancy to the preteen years. Find out how to pick a Facebook- and Google-friendly baby name, get tips on organizing for the school year and learn how to dress your little girl like the daughters on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. (Come on, you know you watch it.) Babble also includes sections for dads and dads-to-be, which can richly fill the time when ESPN is running commercials.
This is the second accolade recently bestowed upon those of us on the Strollerderby team. We were also named the third most influential Mommy Blog by The Access Point. Here’s a fun little graphic that proves it:
Bigg upps to my lady friends at SD, all of the personal bloggers, the other blogging teams and the editorial staff here at Babble. I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m proud to be part of such an incredible team.
