Baby Falls Off Fourth Floor Balcony Into the Safe Arms of a Stranger

An investigation is underway after a toddler fell from a Florida hotel balcony

A family in Florida is counting their blessings after they left their 2-year-old unattended on a hotel balcony and she fell off.

A British tourist who was poolside at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Orlando spotted the baby dangling from the balcony and ran over to get in position to catch her after she lost her grip.

The little girl plunged four stories, but landed in the arms of the guest instead of crashing to the ground. Her parents were in the hotel room and unaware that she had walked out to the balcony.

“It was a miracle,” said a captain in the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The toddler was unhurt from her fall although she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

No charges have been pressed against anyone, although the Florida Department of Children and Families will conduct an investigation into the incident.

Three words: Ugh. OMG. Phew.
