Top 50 Design Blogs for Moms

Need fresh ideas to spruce up your kids' room? Looking for cool vintage finds for unusual birthday gifts? Can't find a one-of-a-kind birthday party theme? Welcome to Babble's list of the Top 50 Design Blogs, where you'll spend hours staring in amazement at all the eye candy that unlimited imagination can create.

For years, I would scour magazines looking for the best of the best in d'cor, fashion and lifestyle for kids. No wonder I'm a bit blog-obsessed. There's simply no better, more efficient or prettier way to score amazing finds than via mom-owned and mom-run Design Blogs.

As the co-founder of Mamaista.com, a blogger for Babble's Family Style blog, and a former magazine editor, I like to think I know a thing or two about what qualifies as good design. So when Babble.com asked me to pick a list of the top 50 design blogs, I was excited, to say the least. While it's hard to whittle the best 50 and rank them in order of fabulosity (and of course, we can't forget our own Family Style blog), I think this list gives you a taste of the amazing range. From small blogs out of New Zealand to huge award-winning blogs from the USA, these 50 Mom Design Blogs come out on top. - Elina Furman

Making it Lovely’s Rankings

The What’s What:

Run by a mom documenting her ongoing redecorating project – she’s turning her century-old bungalow into a spiffy new home – this site’s the place to go if you’re looking for support, inspiration (check out her photos from the Renegade craft fair!) or just a bit of help in the design department. It’s also been named one of the world’s top 50 best design blogs by the London Times.

The Mama:

Nicole Balch doesn’t suffer poor design gladly, which is why she undertook what seems like a perpetual home renovation all by her lonesome. How she manages to do it all with a little girl, another baby on the way and three cats is beyond us.
