The What’s What: Made By Heidi is a straightforward blog, with clean lines (each post is surrounded by a box, making it easy to see where one ends and another begins), pops of springy green and pink, and simple navigation (informational tabs on top, links to the right). But that’s not all that makes this site gorgeous: Guest posts by avid crafters (like The Paper Mama and Chica and Jo) provide great DIY tutorials and photography, and the occasional family post (like snowman building!) adds the perfect touch of whimsy.
The Mama: It’s obvious from her blog that Heidi loves to craft, but the one thing she doesn’t like is patterns – she avoids using them like the plague because reading them can be confusing and distracting (we agree!). As a busy mom, Heidi uses her blog as her creative outlet to document everything that inspires her, from her two children to other crafters on the web.
