The What’s What: Penny-pinching decorators rejoice! Centsational Girl is a saving grace for anyone who’s designing on a budget, literally. Kate is teaching us how to revamp thrift-store furniture into sleek new pieces, paint perfect stripes on walls and make things that usually cost a fortune (like jeweled stemware) for little more than pennies.

The Mama: Armed with her arsenal of primer, paintbrushes, and power tools, lawyer-turned-DIY blogger Kate Riley Eshoo lives to make life fabulous for less. A member of True Value’s DIY Blog Squad, she lives in Northern California’s Wine Country with her husband and their three kids in a home that they remodeled and expanded themselves!
