I’ve been on a not-so-secret mission these past few months. You see, I had a vision. Actually, it was a co-vision along with my partner, Heidi, to find a way for bloggers to use their voices to have an impact on and make changes in the world.
So this week, she did it. She launched Charitable Influence.
Charitable Influence has a beautifully simple mission statement:
Change the world.
That’s our mission.
Using one voice at a time.
They have a more elaborate mission statement, of course, particularly talking about how blogging and social media is playing a huge role in the organization.
Our foundation is bloggers and social media influencers who have the hearts and the means to catalyze change in the world. Part of our mission is to help bloggers connect with causes that speak to their passions while creating and sustaining value to the skills they bring to those causes.
Even more exciting is the announcement that there are two high-profile partners for Charitable Influence; Kiva International and The Human Society. Kiva of course is the revolutionary micro-lending organization, and the Humane Society is dedicated to protecting the welfare of domesticated animals. Major kudos to Fadra for landing these two major partners!
