BREAKING NEWS: Mother Shot to Death, Newborn Abducted Outside Pediatrician's Clinic

Amber Alert issued for 3-day-old Keegan Schuchardt.

An Amber Alert is underway for a 3-day-child believed abducted from a pediatrician’s clinic earlier today.

As the Washington Post reports, a newborn boy was abducted from his screaming mother after she was repeatedly shot outside a suburban Houston pediatric center.

Witnesses say 28-year-old Kayla Marie Golden was walking to her pickup truck around 2pm this afternoon after a checkup with her 3-day-old son, Keegan, when she got into a shouting match with a woman parked in a sky blue or light green Lexus next to her.

As several news outlets report, the woman apparently shot Golden, took the baby and sped away. The dying mother screamed “my baby” and tried to reach into the car but the woman driving the Lexus hit Golden as she sped away.

Witnesses report hearing as many as seven gunshots.

A statewide emergency alert has been issued for baby Keegan Schuchardt, a three-day-old white male. He is described as wearing a green-and-white onesie with the word “handsome.”

The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. outside the Northwoods Pediatric Center in Spring, which is about 20 miles north of Houston. A statewide emergency alert has been issued for the baby.

As the Washington Post reports, “Joshua Jesson said he was in the clinic with his girlfriend when he heard gunshots. He said he saw the Lexus next to the pickup truck, then later looked back and saw the car was gone and a woman lying in the spot where the Lexus had been parked. “I thought she just passed out. Then somebody ran in here and said, ‘Somebody got shot,’” he said.”

The woman who kidnapped the baby is described as a thin, black female in her late 20s or early 30s with “gold” hair. She was dressed in a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Keegan or the suspect is asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5876 or call 911.
