Just when you thought life couldn’t possibly get any easier, Burger King steps in to make it so. Fast food just not convenient enough for you? Well, now the Whopper giant is going to bring the food to you instead of making you wait in the drive-thru or heaven forbid, actually walking in to the resturant to wait on your order.
They are only trying it out in about 10 restuarants in the D.C. area, but are hoping consumers find the extra conveninece worth the $2 service charge.
Really? This all just seems a bit silly to me. Sure, college students may love the late-night options, but extra-convenient fast food? *sigh* And, won’t the food get cold? Washington Post reporter, Michael Rosenwald, tried the service and says’ surprisingly, no. Though he thought the fries would be lukewarm, they were ‘hot and crispy’. Who knew?
Good thing Burger King is saving everyone all that extra time and energy. It would be a shame for people to walk off any portion of the calories they are taking in by eating those Whoppers….
