Busy Parent Briefing: Amanda Knox Trial Hears Closing Arguments, Verdict Announced SoonStephanie Precourt
Italian prosecutors began closing arguments today in the appeal of Amanda Knox, asking the court to stand by the DNA evidence used to convict her of the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher. Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini also warned the appeals court to not be swayed by Amanda’s innocent look, saying “Everyone has a dark side.”
Mignini’s latest arguments, however, were so strange that it cast a glimmer of hope for Amanda and her possible freedom. A verdict should be announced late next week or early October.
