Donna Summer Has Died

It is indeed an end of an era. An icon of American music known as the “Queen of Disco” has died. Donna Summer – known for such giant hits as “She Works Hard for the Money” and “Last Dance” has passed away at the age of 63.  What happened?

According to TMZ, singer had a long battle with cancer, a battle that she – sadly – lost this week. She had reportedly kept her illness on the down low and did not go public with her health struggle.

As of now, there aren’t many details about what happened to Ms. Summer.

She leaves behind three children – Mimi Summer (born in 1973 with first husband Helmuth Summer) and Brooklyn and Amanda (born in 1981 and 1982 with her second husband, Bruce Sudano).

Our thoughts are with Donna Summer’s family, friends, and fans.
