Robin Gibb Has Died

It is a sad day for anyone who has danced the night away to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack or got their Grease one. One of the men responsible for hits like Night Fever, How Deep is Your Love and Stayin’ Alive,  is – sadly -  no long alive. Robin Gibb one third of the uber popular and beloved pop band the Bee Gees has died at the age of 62.

What Happened?

Robin Gibb has lost a two year long battle with cancer.  He had been diagnosed with colon and liver cancer and had spent time in and out of  hospital – most recently with a case of pneumonia.  Robin’s family has released a statement saying,  “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”

Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans. To celebrate his work, check out a few Bee Gees hits right here:
