Busy Parent Briefing: The Harvest Moon Appears Tonight

Watch the Harvest Moon ascend over the eastern horizon around the time of sunset.

The legendary Harvest Moon will be visible tonight if you look to the east as the sun sets and twilight begins.

The Harvest Moon is the full moon that appears closest to the autumnal equinox. The best time to see any full moon is around the time of sunset, so be sure to gather the kids together after dinner to catch it! And if you miss it, mark your calendar for next year’s: September 29, 2012.

Will you be seeing the moon tonight? Where will you be?
