Are you an avid collector?
Doll collectors take note, this couple might put your collection to shame.
Maryland couple Joe and Pat Prosey own 5,000 Cabbage Patch Dolls.
That’s not a typo.
The Proseys, who will be featured on TLC’s “My Crazy Obsession,” premiering March 7, sat down for a chat on Anderson Cooper.
To call them a bit strange with their doll obsession may be the understatement of the year.
You see, they don’t consider them dolls, but rather, they call them their kids or babies.
Most notably, Cabbage Patch Kid Kevin made the trek to the Anderson show to be in on the interview and he even needed a microphone!
Cooper tweeted: “Never happened before: a guest asked to mic his Cabbage Patch Kid on the show.”
Here’s the thing they have a child. A real kid that they raised among their family of Cabbage Patch cuties.
Their daughter is seen in one Anderson video clip, and while she isn’t too embarrassed of her parents’ obsession with dolls, she certainly has tried to distance herself from their eccentricities.
The second video from “My Crazy Obsession” shows the Proseys having playdates, talking to them like they are real kids and taking their photos as they play.
Do you think some people can take their collecting obsession to a weird level? For example, this couple’s dolls live in a larger home than they do!
