Cookie Monster Parody of 'I Love It' Song Is About Self-Control

cookie monster i love it songWho doesn’t love the ‘I Love It’ song by Swedish synth duo Icona Pop? It’s perfect for jumping up and down to and shouting, “I don’t care!,” which is the opposite of the message in this new parody version by Sesame Street. In “But Me Wait,” Cookie Monster does care very much about having a cookie, but he shows enough self-control to wait for one — until the end of the song, at least. Best line? “Me need control me self, yeah that’s the way to live, and then me functioning like an executive.” Me love it! (Just don’t get greedy and keep all the cookies for yourself.)
