There are a slew of creative ways in which men (and women) have popped the question to their lovers. But this one isn’t just creative, but it is frickin’ adorable!
Twenty-four-year-old Anthony Pinder asked for his girlfriend’s hand via hundreds of tiny plastic blocks. The film school graduate created a stop-motion proposal using Legos. He shared the video on YouTube saying that it is “the most important decision I’ve made in my life and the most important question I’ve ever asked, visualized for the love of my life.”
HuffPost Weddings contacted Pinder to ask him how he kept this project secret from his girlfriend of 6 years…
“To have an excuse for my new and growing collection of LEGO, I told her that she inspired me with her ‘photo of the day blog,’ where she takes one photo every day and posts it to her Tumblr page. [I told her] I would be making one LEGO creation each week and posting it to my Flickr page.”
Whenever his girlfriend – Ariana Gomez – was gone from their apartment, Pinder would get out the camera and get to work. ”That plan worked out really well because, after several thousand photos and a week’s worth of editing, she was definitely taken by surprise,” Pinder said.
When the big moment came, Pinder got Gomez in front of the computer and said he had a “cool video” he wanted to show her. “Near the end of the video, she started freaking out, in a good way,” Pinder said. He then went traditional, knelt down, and asked her to marry him.
The answer? Yes! Of course it was. How could anyone turn down such a perfect proposal?
