Dad Caught Making Fun of Little Girl With Cerebral Palsy (Video)Monica Bielanko
Some fathers bond with their sons by playing a game of catch, others might watch a TV show together. William Bailey likes to teach his 9-year-old son how to bully.
On Thursday’s Anderson Live, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen talked about video of an Ohio dad mocking a neighbor, a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy.
Hope Holcomb has to use hand braces to walk. As if the girl doesn’t have enough to deal with, right? This ignorant assface mimics her movements while picking up his son at the bus stop. Then his son joins in the “fun.”
According to Anderson Cooper, the mocking happens so often that Hope is afraid to ride the bus or even leave her house because of Bailey (a 40-year-old adult) and his son constantly making fun of the way she walks. The Baileys did this crap enough times that Hope’s grandma took action and recorded this loser on video being the loser he is.
On the video you can see Bailey mocking Hope as he walks to the bus and then, as they walk away from the bus together, they both mimic her limping gait before they hop in their car and drive off. Hope’s family took the tape to the police and are hoping to charge the Baileys with aggravated menacing.
Bailey denies everything, of course. Even though he was caught on tape. “I love that little girl,” he told CantonRep.com. “I never even meant that or anything at all toward little Hope. I don’t make fun of anybody with a disability.” He now says Hope’s parents have been bullying his son, who has seizures and ADHD.
Both families are due in court on Oct. 9 to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
It’s no wonder that with parents like William Bailey raising children, so many kids are falling victim to children who bully. Hope’s parents are so upset by the video they decided to make it public.
“It makes me sick too, to think that a grown man would tease a 10-year-old disabled girl that has never done a thing to any of them for no reason, and now she doesn’t want to get on the bus to go to school,” Mike Knight tells local station Fox 8.
