Having been to Disneyland many times, missing certain details of the park can easily happen. With all the excitement of thrill rides, eating delicious food and the whole ambiance of Disneyland, it’s hard to just go to the park and relax. Don’t think that’s possible?
I did just that. Last week.
Note: My advice may be for those who visit the park often. If its your first time visiting Mickey and all his friends, well then you need to soak it all in and get on as many rides as possible. But if you’re at Disneyland every week (yes, there are folks that go there on a weekly basis) this post is just for you.
Last week, while visiting the park, I sat with friends and chatted. I drank a soft drink, sitting down and not while standing in line for a ride. I actually stopped to smell the official ‘Disneyland’ rose. I took pictures of places and things that (believe it or not) was the first time I ever took pictures of. Plus, to top off my day, I was able to scratch something off my Disney bucket list. I finally got to see the lowering of the Flag Retreat ceremony that Disneyland conducts, every single evening.
Do you understand now, why it’s important to relax? I can’t wait to do it again!
Take a look at what a non-traditional trip to Disneyland looks like. Enjoy!

As part of Disney Voices, I was invited to spend the day at Disneyland. Tickets were provided.
