As you know, Mitt Romney, the presumed Republican nominee for President, chose Paul Ryan as his running mate. Ryan is a tea party darling and the Chairman of the House Budget Committee. In April 2011, he proposed his Path to Prosperity budget for 2012, which was approved by the House but rejected by the Senate. Ryan’s budget would have slashed Medicare and repealed Obamacare. A similar Ryan budget has been proposed for 2013.
