For the Love of Disney: 10 Ways Magic Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

10 WAYS COLLAGEWith Valentine’s Day just a few days away, love is in the air, on the walls, in the mail, and crammed into all kinds of other cupidy places.

And since everyone’s feeling all lovey dovey anyway, what better time than the present to gather declarations of confetti-covered love for Disney?

Studying the chatter across social media networks led me to some serious puffy heart love, and it’s more than just the vacation deals and souvenirs that keep you and your families coming back for more.

Disney love runs deep, people.

And magic obviously makes the heart grow fonder.

Check out these 10 ways Disney magic gets guests all kinds of twitterpated with feelings…magical feelings:

  • Joy 1 of 10
It's everywhere and it's contagious and it makes you high, proven by the adult men wearing princess ear hats and cute little pillowy grandmas skipping. Both true stories.
  • Service 2 of 10
Cast members get all the fist bumps. Especially the ones that bring you armfuls of sippy cups when your toddler is having a crazytown meltdown in the middle of American Pavilion at Epcot. On the ground. With the screaming.
  • Magic 3 of 10
There's so much of the pixie dusted kind, they're just giving it away! It's addicting.
  • Nostalgia 4 of 10
This kicks in when you're an old hat at um, ear hats. You take a long, leisurely stroll down memory lane and suddenly find yourself reminiscing about magical days gone by. That mind vault is a happy, happy place.
  • Freedom 5 of 10
Sith happens. But with Disneyness, everyday stresses melt away. You are free to be anyone you like, and that's no Jedi mind trick.
  • Free Smells 6 of 10
    Free Smells
Anyone who has wandered through the Grand Floridian or Yacht Club know exactly what I mean. That beachy, citrusy freshness is balm for the soul and initiates instant relaxation. Bottle it, Disney peoples, and inhale. Often.
  • Timelessness 7 of 10
As in the lack of time. Literally. Just being there is a time warp. Days and nights melt into each other like a deliciously drippy Mickey Mouse ice cream bar without the uncomfy stickyness.
  • Happy Thoughts 8 of 10
    Happy Thoughts
    All of them.
  • Escape 9 of 10
This might be the only place where reality is relative. I mean, where else can you see a big dog driving down the street while a Mouse and a Duck hi-five each other and not be considered nutty?
  • Memories 10 of 10
The old ones, the new ones, the ones that haven't even been made yet. The possibilities are pure magic. And fireworky.
