The funeral director who prepared Trayvon Martin’s body for burial told HLN’s Nancy Grace that “Trayvon Martin did not have any cuts or bruises on his hands to indicate that he was in a fight with George Zimmerman on the night that the neighborhood watch captain murdered him,” NewsOne reports. Richard Kurtz, of the Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale, notes that while he is not a forensic specialist, he has prepared the bodies of many homicide victims and felt compelled to speak out in response to the accusation that Martin attacked Zimmerman first.
This interview comes on the heels of the release of the surveillance footage obtained by ABC News showing that Zimmerman arrived at the Sanford police station for questioning totally unscathed, not looking at all like the victim of an attack. Unfortunately, however, the Zimmerman family continues to work hard trying to portray Martin as a thug who deserved to die. George Zimmerman’s brother appeared on CNN repeating the allegation that Martin threatened to take Zimmerman’s gun. Perhaps another reason why it shouldn’t be so easy to carry concealed weapons!
