Tiger, a friendly giant of a dog, has a head so big that he could probably swallow the family baby in one gulp. Fortunately for the baby (and for us), he’s got other things on his mind. He loves to hear baby squeal and giggle, and he’s figured out the trick to making that happen: Tickling.
The world would be a better place if everyone had a dog who knew how to tickle. This baby is having way too much fun.
Dogs and babies can be good friends with careful training and good supervision. Our own dog is more like a much older sister (a much older sister who would prefer her own room with a “keep out” sign), but now that my kids are getting out of the toddler stage, she’s more willing to play. How did your family pet do when your babies came along?
