Google Doodle Goes "Gumby" to Honor Creator Art Clokey's 90th Birthday

Today's Google Doodle honors Gumby creator Art Clokey.

Have you seen today’s adorable interactive Google Doodle on Google’s homepage featuring Gumby and his pals?  Google celebrates  the birthday of Art Clokey, creator of Gumby and the Davey and Goliath series. I’ve spent probably way too much time clicking on the clay balls on Google and can’t wait to show the kids when they get home from school.

Scroll your mouse over the balls and watch Gumby, The Blockheads, Prickle and Goo, and everyone’s favorite, Pokey, take shape and play along.

The Gumby Show premiered on Saturday mornings in 1956,with more than 85 Gumby Adventures syndicated worldwide.  Art Clokey passed away in 2010, and would have been 90 years old today.
