According to reports, two of Jon and Kate Gosselin’s kids have been expelled from school.
If you ever watched even one episode of the the now-defunct “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ reality series on TLC, then you probably already know that Kate Gosselin is one tightly wound woman.
Controlling and angry, Kate regularly lashed out at her husband and belittled him in front of the children and millions of television viewers.
In fact, I quit watching the show because, while I could certainly sympathize with difficulty of being Kate Gosselin, I just couldn’t stomach her nastiness.
But because kids learn what they live, I am not all that surprised to learn that at least two of the Gosselin kids have anger issues of their own.
According to a report from In Touch Weekly, Alexis and Collin Gosselin have been expelled from their Pennsylvania private school due to “rage issues.”
A source close to the family says the problems at school have been going on for some time.
They’ve fought with their peers, called them nasty names and made fun of other kids. The things they are saying are not words they should know. They are learning them somewhere — but Jon doesn’t know where.
The same source says the issues at school are linked to the continued filming of “Kate Plus 8.” I am sure that is a huge part of the problem, but it is likely much more complicated than that. The cameras that have been filming these kids’ lives since they were born have also revealed some pretty serious issues with their parents. And while those issues eventually led the couple to divorce, things certainly didn’t improve for the kids.
Rather than close ranks and focus on helping their children through a difficult time, both Jon and Kate turned their attention to their social and professional lives. Now the kids not only have cameras in their faces, they have lost the security of being the focus of their parents’ lives.
I feel so bad for the Gosselin kids and hope that maybe these latest troubles will help Kate decide that it’s time to relinquish the spotlight for the sake of the children. If not, well, it’s it’s just a matter of time before the show’s declining ratings make the decision for her.
