These days there’s a lot of talk about bullying and how horrible kids can be to each other.
And it’s true. Kids can be really, really mean.
But they can also be amazing in ways that can change the world, one act of kindness at a time. As evidence, I submit to you this video of Matt W. and his 5th and 6th grade classmates from Worthington, Ohio. Matt has spastic Cerebral Palsy and could’ve opted out of this 400 meter race during Colonial Hills Elementary School’s Track & Field Day. Instead he chose to run, showing his classmates and the rest of the world what it really means to triumph in the face of adversity. In return, his classmates show the world that we can always do better.
