Family Welcomes 12th Boy To Their Brood After Hoping For A GirlMonica Bielanko
I guess now is the time to thank my lucky stars I had a girl and then a boy.
Because this family’s got a lotta boy. Twelve of ’em, to be exact.
Michigan couple Kateri and Jay Schwandt welcomed their 12th baby into the family last week.
“We didn’t know what he would be when he was first born,” Kateri Schwandt told the local NBC News station. “We don’t find out. It’s always a boy, but it’s always a surprise.”
Not really a surprise at this point, is it?
The parents say they were hoping for a girl but they’re pleased to welcome Tucker Ray, who joins his older brothers, the eldest being 21 years old.
“I’m sure a little girl probably would be fun, but we know what we’re doing. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a locker room,” Kateri Schwandt said.
The couple isn’t done yet, either. They say they aren’t opposed to more kids. Maybe 13 is their lucky number?
What do you think? Do you think the Schwandts would’ve stopped a long time ago if they’d have had a girl? If so, how do you feel about continuing to have kids because you want a specific gender?
