Hot Mama Julianne Moore to Play Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin! A Good Choice?

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin?

Personally, I would have loved to have seen Tina Fey once again portray that mom of five, conservative poster girl and ‘maverick’ Sarah Palin. But that is not what the casting gods had in store. Instead there was another mom picked to play Palin in the HBO produced film Game Change – acclaimed actress Julianne Moore. A good choice? You Bectcha!

Julianne Moore is an amazing actress who has the ability to immerse herself into any role from a Bostonian babe in 30 Rock to a lesbian mom in The Kids Are All Right to porn star in Boogie Nights. Julianne Moore, she’s got range. For her Palin portrayal, get Moore a pair of glasses, a tailored suit and cover up her freckles and she’ll also bring it physically.

Deep down Julianne Moore’s heart is far more liberal than that of a Mama Grizzly. Moore is more akin to a Mama Golden Retriever.  But Moore’s job is to embrace an entity other than her own, she’s a pro. Palin and Moore do have one thing in common, they both seem to take motherhood seriously and embrace that role right along side that of their retrospective political and acting careers. These are two women who seem to manage high stress and high profile jobs while raising a family.

One thing that will be interesting is to see how motherhood plays out in the HBO produced film. Will Bristol’s pregnancy and her youngest son’s condition be covered? Or will it focus more on the politics?

What do you think of Julianne Moore playing Sarah Palin?
