How Do Olympic Parents Handle Watching Their Kids Swim?

Tyler Clary's parents talk to espnW about how they deal with watching him swim.

By now you must have seen the hilarious video of Olympic gymnast Aly Reisman’s parents bobbing and weaving in the stands while watching their daughter do her routine on the uneven bars in the qualifying round of the all-around competition. But Reisman’s parents aren’t the only ones who feel physically connected to their athlete child while watching them perform. The parents of Team USA’s top swimmers (including Ryan Lochte and Tyler Clary) recently talked to espnW about how they feel watching their children in the water. As you might expect, some queasiness is involved:
