Jared Lee Loughner, Suspected Arizona Shooter Made Disturbing YouTube VideosDanielle Sullivan
Jared Lee Loughner, the 22 year old man who has been identified as the suspect in the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 12 others, recently posted disturbing YouTube videos. He is described by witnesses as a “fringe character,” in his early 20s, clean-shaven with short hair and wearing dark clothing.
Last month, he posted videos that discussed random thoughts, including anti government statements and the burning of the American flag as well as his mistrust of U.S. currency, and what makes a terrorist:
If I define terrorist then a terrorist is a person who employs terror or terrorism, especially as a political weapon.
If you call me a terrorist, then the argument to call me a terrorist is Ad Hominem.
You call me a terrorist.
Loghner may have also thought he would die in this shooting as he calls his last video on December 15, 2010 “My Final Thoughts.” He tried to flee but was instead captured by staffers of Giffords after running out of ammunition and is currently in custody. Police are looking into whether he had an accomplice or acted alone. It is reported that an older gentleman may have been with him. See full video here.
Giffords was taken into emergency surgery in critical condition and has been reported to be responding to doctors’ commands.
