Jennifer Aniston Fires Back at Bill O'Reilly

In a war of words, Aniston has won.

As you may recall, Bill O’Reilly and his FOX News cohorts slammed the actress last week for “glamorizing” single parenthood, saying her comments in support of single women who choose to use a sperm donor were “destructive to society.”

Aniston, with her signature charm and wit, got a great dig in against the conservative pundit in an exclusive quote she gave to People magazine:

Of course the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age.  Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth. And of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options.

Hahahaha… what a dream she is!  FOX naturally covered the story, using the headline, “Jennifer Aniston Backs Off of Her Single Parenthood Comments.”  (That’s some no-spin zone ya got there, Fox!  Do you not process sarcasm?)  A source “close to” Angelina Jolie (right… and by close source you mean a random blogger…) says, “Angie would totally defend Jennifer on this.  She agrees with Jennifer that a woman doesn’t need a man to start a family to be a good mother. For Bill to take issue with this statement is him taking issue with every single parent in the world.”

I agree with the last part, and while it makes sense that Angelina would feel that way, you know, you either like Angie or you like Jen.  I’ve made no secret about the ways in which Jolie’s glamorization of motherhood strikes a chord in me.  I’m sure Angelina is a lovely person and I would of course ingratiate myself to her if we ever met, but in the world of celebrities I don’t know, I’m team Aniston.  Especially now.
