Don’t know who Kristi Noem is? That will soon change.
Dubbed “the next Sarah Palin,” the telegenic mom of three is hoping to take over Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin’s seat in the House of Representatives.
Noem has raised more money than any other House challenger this quarter, according to The Washington Post.
The $1.1 million she has raised “should go a long way in media-poor South Dakota, where ad buys cost a lot less than they do in bigger markets,” writes my colleague at Famecrawler.
The Tea Party candidate is as all-American as they come. She runs a ranch, rides horses, hunts elk and even skins pheasants, according to the Washington Post. Along with her handsome husband, Bryon, Noem is raising her two teenage daughters, Kassidy and Kennedy, and a son, Booker.
So what’s her platform? Not surprisingly, Noem is anti-government spending and wants to repeal the new health care law.
On her Facebook page, Noem describes herself as a “wife, mother, farmer, rancher, small business owner, and South Dakotan.”
Will she soon add Congresswoman to her bio?
