It is every parent’s nightmare, and one that Sergio and Becky Celis are living. The couple’s 6-year-old daughter has disappeared and according to reports, the young girl may have been abducted from her bedroom.
In Tuscon, Arizona, the family noticed their daughter Isabel was missing on Saturday morning when they went into her room to wake her up for the day’s events and she wasn’t there. She was last seen on Friday night when they checked on her when she was in bed around 8pm. The police say that there are suspicious circumstances involved, noting…
“We have a window that was opened and a screen removed. We’re labeling it as suspicious circumstances and a possible abduction,” said police chief Roberto Villaseñor (according to CNN).
Since her disappearance, there have been about 100 law enforcement officers (which includes FBI and U.S. Marshals) on the search for Isabel, and the search is now making national news.
The tale sounds eerily like the Polly Klaas from 1993, a young girl taken from her bedroom in the middle of the night. Let’s hope this has a far happier ending.
