We brought back favorites from last year's list and combed through your nominations to bring fresh voices to the conversation. It's time to stop worrying, start planning, and, most importantly, get moving! (And if we missed a blog you love, nominate it here!) - Paula Sadok

Carrie and Jeremy’s Rankings

Who: Carrie and Jeremy Simmons, parents of two, Arizona

Why we love this site: For the last four years, the Simmons family has been traveling to destinations around the world and filming a series on PBS, also called Travel with Kids. The Simmonses are budget-conscious, sampling delicious street food and staying in locally-owned hotels. For entertainment, they encourage their kids to join local children at soccer, go to amusement parks, and even drive go-carts along the Great Wall of China. Episodes and blog entries highlight trips through America, Europe, the Carribean, Peru, and China, among others. Their tips and tricks prove families can travel (almost) anywhere. Just get your kids involved in the planning, have them do some reading and research beforehand, and go! (You can also purchase Travel with Kids episodes on DVD through Amazon or download them through iTunes and Roku.)

Thank you Babble so much for including us–we are very honoured to have been included among such a well-traveled and well-written group. It’s amazing to see how many families are ‘doing it’ now and hopefully this list will be a good starting point for others contemplating family travel.
