Top 50 iPhone Apps for Moms
About a week after I began using my iPhone, I was in love. I had a calendar with me at all times, and I was able to stay on top of my family's schedule - even though there are six of us! I had email access while I was out, so I wasn't constantly playing catch up with PTO business in the evening. And then I discovered apps! With these programs, I could track my baby's feeding schedule, my family's illnesses, and my attempts at exercise. And there were apps that could help keep my children entertained and educated! My iPhone was quickly becoming a vital tool that made my busy mom life more manageable.
In January 2009 I began a website, The iPhone Mom, dedicated to helping moms find apps that could do the same for them. Since beginning the site, I've seen both the quantity and quality of useful apps for moms grow.
Babble.com asked me to put together a list of my Top 50 iPhone Apps for Moms. Here, in descending order, are my favorites and the ones I think you'll find most useful.

I’m not a regular eBay user, but since my youngest was diagnosed with protein intolerance and put on elemental formula, I’ve discovered it’s a wonderful resource for formula that can’t be found in the supermarket. I can’t be tied to my computer all day long, so I had to find a way to keep track of my eBay without checking the laptop every fifteen minutes. Hooray for eBay Mobile! It takes everything that’s great about the eBay site and puts it on your iPhone in an easy-to-use format. You can log directly into your eBay account and see your important account information, including items you’re watching or bidding on. You can also see items that you’ve recently searched for on eBay (whether it was through the app or the website) and you can revisit those search items or look for something entirely new. eBay Mobile lets you place bids as well as send and receive messages about items. My favorite feature is the push notification system. When you turn this on, you’ll receive a notification when you’ve been outbid on an item. You can then get right on the app, up your bid and get back in the game. When you’re trying to snag a $50 can of formula that’s going on eBay for $15.00, this feature is a shopping must.
