In the Kitchen

The best iPhone apps for moms have been announced! Food Network

In the Kitchen’s Rankings

We love getting inspired by the Food Network : but it’s hard to keep track of all the great recipes we see. If you’re better at forgetting these meals on TV instead of actually making them, this app is for you. With In the Kitchen, you have the latest recipes from Giada, Bobby, Alton, and more Food Network chefs right on your phone. If you’ve got a favorite Food Network star, you can filter recipe search results by a particular chef. You can save the recipe to a recipe box and easily check up on ingredients you need for it when you’re out shopping. The app also comes with a timer and an excellent cooking unit conversion tool. Like all good recipe apps out there, you can share a recipe with a simple button, though this app is lacking in the ability to see other users’ reviews of that recipe. Now if only it would help me remember how my favorite chefs cooked up the recipes – I may become a star cook yet!
